About
Katia Belam’s Biography
Singer & Performer · Paris · Los Angeles
“I sing to move people, to make them feel something, and to leave an emotion that stays with them long after the last note.”
A complete performer’s training
Katia Belam’s biography begins at the Paris Musical Theater Conservatory, a school where the voice is never trained on its own. Singing, acting, breath work and stage presence: students learn to tell a story as much as to hold a note. From that training, Katia kept a conviction that still guides every one of her performances: a song isn’t just sung, it’s lived.
A singer first and foremost, she also plays piano and guitar, a real asset for intimate acoustic sets.
From intimate stages to major events
Long before headlining bigger stages, Katia cut her teeth performing live. Dinner shows, corporate galas, weddings, intimate concerts at Bizzart or Gigi: every stage taught her something different. Getting a reception hall moving, captivating a dinner crowd, touching guests’ hearts during a ceremony… That variety made her an artist who can adapt to any format, from an acoustic duo to the main stage.
A voice that carries, from radio to the boxing ring
Her voice has been heard on French radio station RMC. Katia has also taken on an unusual challenge: singing La Marseillaise, the French national anthem, at boxing events in front of thousands of spectators. It’s a performance with no second take, one that demands perfect pitch and cool composure.
A repertoire of soul, pop and French classics
Katia’s repertoire moves between soul, pop and international hits. On stage, she pays tribute to the great voices she admires: Céline Dion with Destin, Prière païenne and Pour que tu m’aimes encore, Aretha Franklin with Think, Prince with Kiss, and Otis Redding with (Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay. After studio sessions in Paris in 2025, she released a single in September 2026: an electro version of Pour que tu m’aimes encore, bringing Céline Dion’s classic to the dance floor. All her tracks are available on the Discography page.
Today, between Paris and Los Angeles
On July 4, 2026, Katia shared the bill at the Estivales d’Obernai festival (Alsace, France) with Jonathan Dassin, son of Joe Dassin. Based in Paris, she also performs in Los Angeles and travels across France and internationally for tours, galas, productions and residencies, with US bookings available upon request. Her journey has already taken her from Sedona, Arizona, for a Lion King music video shoot in 2021, to Seville, Spain, for an editorial shoot in 2026.
